Author:

Thanks to Intel Company which both has a fine sense of the industry and calls the tune of the industry development, it has become possible to open the first and only forum in Russian internet for discussing issues of 64-bit programming.

The forum "Development of 64-bit applications" is designed for the developers who discuss the issues of development, testing and maintenance of 64-bit programs for Intel 64 platforms (x86-64, x64, AMD64, EM64T) and IA-64 (Itanium, Itanium 2).

The subject matter of the forum is: porting of 32-bit applications to 64-bit systems, search and elimination of 64-bit errors, optimization of 64-bit applications, work with large memory sizes, compilers for building 64-bit applications, work of 32-bit programs in a 64-bit environment, use of WoW64 subsystem.

The hosts of the forum are experts in the field of 64-bit programming from "Program Verification Systems" company engaged in the development of PVS-Studio code analyzer for searching errors in source code of 64-bit and parallel programs in C and C++ languages.

In the course of time, English version of the forum is planned to be open, also at the Intel site.
