While developing Viva64 the cornerstone was the simplicity. We took into consideration our experience of handling traditional lint-like code analyzers. That is exactly why the possibility to start working at once is one of the main advantages of Viva64 in comparison with other code analyzers. And what's more, Viva 64 was designed in such a way that a developer who uses this analyzer won't have to setup it. This target has been easily reached: the developer now has a powerful code analyzer which doesn't need being setup.
And besides, some additional functions are disabled in the routine work and can be used by means of the setting dialogue. Please pay your attention to the fact that we don't make our users either setup text configuration file or read a huge manual. Each setting dialogue has access to the help system in which the meanings of the settings are described.
Viva 64 settings are performed by means of the standard for Microsoft Visual Studio mechanism - the Options command from the Tools menu. Having chosen this command you will see the Microsoft Visual Studio setting dialogue, one of the points of which will be Viva64.
We would like to emphasize the fact that nothing has to be set to start working with Viva64. All the settings are additional and you are to use them only if it is necessary. The only exception may be "Registration" page :-).
